That's a ridiculous headline. But it's true! 

There are no more words to express the level of gratitude I have for all you wonderful folks who believe in this project. Please know that the team and I are working hard to make sure that the Tome of Mystical Tattoos is a supplement you will be happy to own and pleased to have backed as this tough year comes to a close! 

As a little surprise, I saw how much attention the initial call for player characters received. So let's do it again! Except this time, I'll try to be clearer with what I'm looking for. Please let us all know in the comments about an interesting situation that your player character or one of your player's characters ran into. Let's worry about physical descriptions later! 

Those selected for this next cameo opportunity will be sporting one of the many beautiful tattoos which will be in the book! Oh... and your character will be illustrated within too, of course!

Lastly, I've been very grateful for the support I've been receiving, so recently, I've been really looking around Kickstarter for other great projects I want to see brought to life. If you have time, I would check on Voyages of the Vagabond by Deep Dungeon Games. I think that it's great that it's system neutral (I've been looking into how tricky this can be), and personally, I jumped at the chance for novel ways to handle travel, terrain, and transportation in my own games. 

Here's a little excerpt from them:

"The Voyages of the Vagabond is a combination of fantasy roleplaying game supplements that can be used by any Game Master to help detail and build their fantasy worlds. In this project, these supplements will be focused on the roads of fantasy worlds and the environments that they exist in. It's a great way for a Game Master to expand their fantasy world, build upon current writings, or even pull content that fits their world the best."

Hi folks! 

Thank you all for getting us to this point in the funding! It's been so unreal.

Today I have an interesting sneak peek into a new style we are experimenting with putting in the book:

Keep your eyes peeled for future updates on the remaining two styles we are playing around with and also for the social stretch goals which are going to have some beautiful rewards!

All initial stretch goals reached + A project I like!

Hi folks!

First and foremost, thank you all so much for unlocking ALL of our initial stretch goals! This is amazing and almost unbelievable! The team has a lot of work ahead but we are already certain this book is going to be even better than we had first envisioned. There are more goals to work towards thanks to helpful input from the community, but for now, I am nothing but grateful for the pledges and backing for our campaign. 

I also wanted to call attention to the Monster Description Cards project! I've recently pledged to their campaign because I believe that these cards are going to be so useful, especially as a Dungeon Master. There are many times where improvising is definitely enough, but there's something about just being able to quickly look up wonderfully descriptive ways to help players visualize things like a monster's features or final moments in vivid and fascinating detail. Check it out if that's something you're interested in as well!

Quick Update!

Just a very quick update today, that is more of a fun little teaser to something that has seen some mass support from all you backers so far:

(NEW) $50,000 - Locked - 5 "Cursed Tattoos" - 5 entries in the book for a completely new mechanic exploring the fearsome cursed tattoos! These tattoos are extracted into weapons which become the special medium for their application on enemies, as opposed to needles, and are temporary in nature. 

Hope that gets you all curious and excited! 

(Also side note that "linked tattoos" as described by the community are already part of the selection of original tattoos in the book!)

Additionally, congratulations on unlocking a whole new adventure that will be included in the book! This will be tons of fun! One final early stretch goal is on the horizon before we look to all the new ones we thought up together!

Exciting, new stretch goals!

Hello again folks!

I'm back and I have good news. First of all, we've hit $21,000 and unlocked more chest tattoos! And second, thanks to all your suggestions, I was able to shore up the stretch goals with two brand new milestones for us to possibly hit. I'd like to thank backers Jack, Lewis, Fergus, and everyone who contributed suggestions! Let's take a look at them:

(NEW) $40,000 - Locked - 5 "Tattoo Sets" - 5 entries in the book for a new mechanic that rewards players for applying three specific magic tattoos to create a full tattoo set. Along with the three tattoos' existing abilities or properties, the player gets additional benefits that reward their devotion to mystical tattoos!

(NEW) $60,000 - Locked - 5 "Divine Tattoos" - 5 entries in the book for a new tattoo type that I will refer to as the powerful divine tattoos. These are full-body tats designed to replicate tattoos observed on legendary deities which allow the tattooed individual to wield some of that divine being's power!

There might be more stretch goals in the future (like compatibility) but for now, we'll stick with these at more spaced-out funding intervals to make them a bit more challenging. Social stretch goals are obviously still on the way as well. 

Hopefully, these are kind of exciting for you all to hear about, as I'm actually very pumped to start writing the mechanics out for these two goals!
